A welcoming start in London

Yesterday I talked to my daughter over the telephone. She reported me about the first week of her stay in London. From day one she feels pleasantly at home. The people in London are very friendly. They take into account the people they encounter on their way to their destination. It struck her that it is normal that people are very helpful. Not only on her work but also on the street they are pleasant to encounter with. They help the girls carrying the heavy suitcases into the buses for example.
Compared with Americans, they show a genuine personal interest in you if they are asking "How are you?".

Besides this stricking news she reported that the owner of the house in which she lives was very helpful as well and made pleasant remarks on how pleasantly the new tenants had decorated the house.

Already she had made plans with her co-tenants to visit eachothers hotels.

The hotel 47 Parkstreet gives her the opportunity to comment on the Friday morning to work independently with full responsibility. She agreed to this. Oh, how exciting! :-)
